A record of the legacy built by my grandparents in their countryside home.

This photo package centers around preserving memories that are stored in a place where familial generations have gathered throughout their lifetimes. I had the privilege to photograph the home my grandparents built in the 70’s, that my mother grew up in, and that my brothers and I spent our childhoods visiting. My grandparents have since moved from this invaluable slot of land that treasures the memories we have made there. The crackling of the gravel rode underneath the tires of our car driving into their driveway, the smell and humidity of the thick Texas air, and the countless adventures along the creak bed and woods are moments that can now only be stored in our hearts. This project aimed to capture the places where these memories transpired. Acting as a timeless portal back to those seasons in life.

Many of us experience these hard goodbyes when it is time to move on from places similar to my grandparents house, ones with irreplaceable memories and value.
